Leafs injuries pile up between the pipes
Erik Källgren of the Marlies is the latest goalie in the Maple Leafs’ organization to get hurt, out indefinitely with a concussion suffered in Wednesday’s game against Laval. Keith Petruzzelli was called up by the AHL club from the Newfoundland Growlers of the East Coast league.
The Leafs were already thin in net with Petr Mrázek sidelined by a groin injury for the second time this season. Prospect Ian Scott, also out with a groin injury, is still closing in on a return. With Källgren added to the list, that leaves rookie Joseph Woll, Jack Campbell’s current backup, and veteran Michael Hutchinson second and third on the depth chart.
