Amanda Sum presents New Age Attitudes at the Cultch
Juno-nominated musician and theatre creator Amanda Sum has been working on the New Age Attitudes project for some time. Now, the wait is over.
Billed as a “lo-fi listen” and “a concert in construction paper form,” Sum turns her hand to de-digitizing her art into a handmade book distributed to each audience member. With everything from meditations on music making to humorous observations and more, the pop-up books will serve as a kind of tactile interaction to listening and enjoying Sum’s songs from her debut album, titled New Age Attitudes.
Expect a unique presentation from this artist, who is known for turning traditional theatre and concert performance on its head.
