Another stabbing on transit in Surrey Saturday
Another young man was stabbed on SkyTrain in Surrey early Saturday, making it the third stabbing on the city’s public transit this month.
Shortly after 1 a.m., Metro Vancouver Transit Police and Surrey RCMP responded to reports of a stabbing on board a train at Surrey Central SkyTrain Station.
A man in his 20s was transported to hospital with a stab wound to his abdomen. He has since been released in stable condition. A suspect has not yet been located.
A motive is not yet known, but Transit Police say it does not appear to be linked to any of the other stabbings on transit this month.
On Tuesday, 17-year-old Ethan Bespflug was fatally stabbed on a Coast Mountain bus in Surrey, not far from the King George SkyTrain station.
