Aquaria promises ‘a whole lot of red’ as part of her Night of the Living Drag performance

However, touring with the show last year, Aquaria saw more cars than people, often while performing in the rain and snow. The drive-in shows were held in parking lots.

“For that tour, I did a number with a Lady Gaga Chromatica album theme, and it was one of the best numbers I’ve come up with. So I feel like I have a lot riding on this year’s. But the thing I’m most, most, most, excited about is that I’m not going to be in a mall parking lot.”

Along with Aquaria, other series stars who will appear on this year’s spooky cemetery set include Gottmik, Rose, Jaida Essence Hall, Alyssa Edwards, Kandy Muse, Plastique and Kim Chi. Each has their own esthetic, as dedicated viewers know.

“I supposed mine has a strong fashion element,” Aquaria said. “But I love all sorts of references, whether it’s pop culture, fashion, theatre, film and entertainment. I definitely don’t like to limit myself to strictly feminine references or things that are beauty-related. I love playing up the duality and versatility of drag.”
