Busy Surrey intersection closed after fatal early-morning car crash

The intersection at 152 Street and Guildford Drive in Surrey is closed after a fatal two-vehicle collision early Sunday.

Surrey RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Martin Neveu said police were called to the major intersection in Guildford at around 5 a.m. with reports of a multi-vehicle crash.

Neveu said one of the occupants was declared dead at the scene.

The intersection is completely closed while collision investigators work the scene.

“A road closure is in effect with traffic in all directions being diverted from the intersection at 152 Street and Guildford Drive. The public are requested to avoid the area until further notice,” Neveu said.
