Canucks: NHLPA looking at Tanner Pearson’s hand injury situation
HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — A day after the Vancouver Canucks announced veteran winger Tanner Pearson’s season was over following a third surgical procedure on his hand, the news has only grown more concerning.
During Friday’s edition of Donnie and Dhali on CHEK-TV, Rick Dhaliwal reported that Pearson may need further procedures on his hand and there are doubts whether the winger will be able to play in the 2023-24 season.
“I was told last night some say Pearson has already had three to four surgeries already. He is not done with more work on the hand. Yes, it’s possible more surgeries. There also seems to be an infection that is causing problems as well,” he said.
“Could it be career-threatening? We don’t know that yet. But I’m told there is no guarantee that Tanner Pearson will be back next season. It is a significant injury.”
