After being sidelined for the past two years due to COVID-19, Bard on the Beach returns to in-person performances underneath the tents at its Sen̓ákw /Vanier Park location.
“We’re thrilled that our Festival will be back onstage after a deeply challenging two years,” said Bard Artistic Director Christopher Gaze. “ Our lead production, Dream, perfectly captures what we want to share as we all recover – it’s a true celebration of hope and joy that will lift the spirits of everyone who sees it. For that reason, and to reach as many people as possible, it will be our single production on the BMO Mainstage through the Festival’s full run.”
Bard on the Beach company veteran Scott Bellis will direct A Midsummer Night’s Dream while Anita Rochon is directing Romeo and Juliet. Stratford and Shaw festival actor/director Cherissa Richards helms Harlem Duet.
