Crime suspected after body found in Whalley: Surrey RCMP
Homicide investigators have been called in after a body was discovered in an alleyway in the Whalley neighbourhood, say Surrey RCMP.
Police say the body was found in the area of 103A Avenue and Old Yale Road at about 5 p.m. Wednesday.
A police evidence team was brought in and is working with the B.C. Coroners Service to determine how the person died.
“At this time, it is believed criminality is a factor,” said RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Vanessa Munn.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is also involved.
