Driver, 21, dies in single-vehicle crash on 72nd Avenue in Surrey
A 21-year-old driver has died in hospital after a devastating single-vehicle crash in Surrey.
The driver was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after losing control of a black Jaguar sedan on 72nd Avenue between 130th and 132nd streets shortly after midnight Thursday.
He died of his injuries Thursday morning.
The accident scene has been processed and roads are fully reopened in the area.
Surrey RCMP say speed appears to be a major contributing factor. The Jaguar was headed west on 72nd Avenue before it lost control and hit a centre median, causing catastrophic damage to the car.
