East Van artists go downtown in another ParkerArtSalon

For the seventh annual ParkerArtSalon, artists at Parker Street Studios open their doors to the public in a kind of mini-Eastside Culture Crawl.

The one-day event takes place June 10, while dozens of Parker Street artists display a piece each in a month-long exhibit at Pendulum Gallery beginning May 15. The work will be up for bid in an online auction that goes live June 8, with 50 per cent of the proceeds going to help financially strapped students.

We talked to Niina Chebry, artist and co-founder of the ParkerArtSalon, about the event.
