Whether you’re looking for date-night ideas, free things to do or just something fun to do with the kids, you can’t go wrong with our list of events happening around Metro Vancouver between Oct. 28-Nov 3. Headlining this week’s picks is Britannia Mine Museum’s Bad to the Bone Halloween Weekend.

Here are 5 things to do in Metro Vancouver this week:

When: Oct. 30 & 31 from 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

When: Oct. 28 at 12 noon

Where: Scotiabank Dance Centre, 677 Davie St.

Tickets: $15 regular/$13 students, seniors, children at thedancecentre.ca

As part of the Dance Centre’s Discover Dance! Series, Arno Kamolika performs in the classical Indian style of Bharatanatyam. The form draws on poetry, music, mythology and spirituality, and Kamolika will share narrative and non-narrative-based dances. B.C.-based musicians Curtis Andrews (Mridangam), Shankhanaad Mallick (vocals), and Sharanjeet Singh Mand (Sitar) accompany the dancer/choreographer.
