Murder charges laid in fatal stabbing outside Vancouver nightclub

Police have arrested a man after a fatal stabbing outside a south Vancouver nightclub last year.

Mohammed Cortes Torres, 25, was arrested Sunday and charged with second-degree murder in the death of Naseb Fazil.

Fazil was 19 when he was stabbed after a brawl outside Gallery Vancouver nightclub near Southwest Marine Drive and Hudson Street in Marpole in the early morning hours of May 23, 2022.

He was taken to hospital, but died of his injuries.

Vancouver Police said Cortes Torres was living in Surrey at the time, but was recently staying on Vancouver Island.
