New Westminster street crime sweep nets drugs, cash, luxury vehicles and loaded gun
A six-month investigation led by New Westminster police swept up a large cache of drugs, money, luxury vehicles and a loaded gun.
Police raided two residences in New West on March 2 as part of the investigation that began last September.
During the execution of search warrants, several luxury vehicles, a large amount of cash, the loaded firearm and drugs including cocaine, methamphetamine and fentanyl were seized.
The New Westminster police street crime unit was helped by other local agencies as well as the Vancouver Police Department and the Lower Mainland emergency response team.
“The results of this recent project underscore our commitment to focusing our efforts on individuals who are selling and distributing dangerous drugs within our communities,” said Sgt. Andrew Leaver.
