One killed in Surrey shooting Tuesday night

A man was fatally shot shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday in a busy parking lot near 148th Street and 108th Avenue in Surrey.

Surrey RCMP Sgt. Martin Neveu said in a news release that officers “responded to a report of a shooting in a parking lot in the area” at 8:02 p.m.

“A male victim was transported to hospital in critical condition but succumbed to his injuries,” Neveu said. “Initial information indicates this was a targeted incident.”

He said the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has taken conduct of the investigation and is working with Surrey RCMP.
