Parks Canada announces dates for spring and summer campsite bookings

Reservations for campsites, guided hikes and shuttles will open in early spring for Banff National Park, with most coming online in the last week of March, Parks Canada announced Monday.

The Hidden Lake guided hike, which runs from July 9 to Sept. 24, can be booked starting March 29 at 8 a.m.

Shuttle service for Lake Louise and Moraine Lake will be open for reservations on April 13 at 8 a.m. for access between May 13 and Oct. 10.

In Waterton Lakes National Park, townsite campground reservations will be available on March 30 at 8 a.m.

Just south of Waterton, over the border and into Montana’s Glacier National Park, vehicle reservations — needed for the Going-to-the-Sun Road Corridor, North Fork, Many Glacier Valley and Two Medicine Valley — will begin to come online for bookings starting Feb. 1.

Farther north, Jasper sites — including Whistlers, Wabasso, Wapiti and Palisades — will open for reservations on March 16 at 8 a.m., with backcountry camping bookings open on March 20.
