Premier David Eby announces another affordability tax credit to help offset inflation costs
Premier David Eby has announced B.C. residents will receive another round of the affordability tax credit to help with the pressures of inflation.
He was speaking Saturday at the Surrey campus of Simon Fraser University to mark his first 100 days in office. The Surrey campus is where the province’s new medical school, that was announced in November, will be located.
Eby said the credit will provide as much as an additional $164 per adult and $41 per child up to $410 for a family with two kids.
“We know this won’t cover all the bills, but it will take some of the pressure off for families who need it most right now,” he said.
The premier did not provide any other details about the second round of credit such as when B.C. residents can expect to receive that payment.
