Prolific B.C. offender wanted on kidnapping, assault and other charges

Police are asking the public’s help in finding a man wanted on several charges, including kidnapping and assault.

Surrey RCMP said it has been looking for Fabian Yul Brown since February when a warrant was issued for his arrest. Despite efforts, the 49-year-old has not been found.

Brown faces charges of kidnapping, assault, unlawful confinement, uttering threats, and break and enter in relation to an incident on Dec. 2 in Surrey. He is also charged with fraud and possession of stolen property that allegedly occurred in New Westminster, Surrey and Vancouver.

Brown has a lengthy criminal record in Metro Vancouver dating back more than two decades.

In 2013, Brown was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for robbery and forcible confinement after a drug-related incident at a Gastown rooming house in Vancouver.
