Rogue Folk founder Steve Edge wins Spirit of Folk award

When it comes to folk music in Vancouver, Steve Edge has his finger on the pulse.

In a ceremony taking place today in Kansas City, Missouri, at the annual Folk Alliance International Conference, Edge will be honoured with the Spirit of Folk award. The citation is given “to honour and celebrate people and organizations actively involved in the promotion and preservation of folk music through their creative work, community building, and demonstrated leadership.”

Edge was an inaugural member of the Folk Alliance International when it was established. This award joins his induction into the British Columbia Entertainment Hall of Fame and Canadian Folk Music awards unsung hero win.
