Save the date: Discovery Day a good time for aspiring earth scientists

When: Jan. 22, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Where: Vancouver Convention Centre East, Ballroom A

Anyone with a passing interest in mineral exploration, mining and earth science will want to head down to the 2023 Discovery Day.

Presented by the Association for Mineral Exploration, or AME, the daylong event includes opportunities to learn and interact with specialists in the field and take in various exhibits by presenters ranging from Britannia Mine Museum to Women in Mining BC. Activities include panning for gold, rock and mineral displays and the Stump the Geologist challenge.

The event is free. All-ages are welcome.
