Save the date: New Pornographers to play the Commodore Ballroom on Nov. 14
Vancouver indie rock crew the New Pornographers will play the Commodore Ballroom on Nov. 14.
The group’s tour in support of its Merge Records debut, Continue as a Guest, will kick off on April 19 and presale tickets for some dates are on sale now at thenewpornographers.com. A portion of proceeds from all of the tickets purchased on the band’s website will go to The Brigid Alliance.
General tickets for the Commodore show are $42.50 and go on sale April 7, 10 a.m. at livenation.com.
Continue as a Guest includes songs by Carl Newman as well as contributions from Neko Case, Kathryn Calder, John Collins, Todd Fancey and Joe Seiders, plus saxophonist Zach Djanikian. Frequent band member Dan Bejar (Destroyer) and Sadie Dupuis (Speedy Ortiz, Sad13) also have co-writes.
The new album is getting solid reviews for new tracks such as the single Bottle Episodes.
