Save the date: Vancouver Folk Music Festival now back for July 2023 celebration

The news came thanks to an outpouring of public support for the festival and the B.C. Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport announcing $30 million in funding to festivals and events to help with pandemic recovery.

In a news release from the organizers, newly appointed board president Erin Mullan said: “Last month’s funding announcement by the B.C. government was a game changer for the festival. This new funding, combined with the strong support of our other funders, partners, other festivals and the community at large, means we can hold a 2023 festival.”

The festival continues to pursue other revenue streams to help sustain the event. Folk Fest fans are advised to keep an eye on the festival website for updates about artists, tickets and more.
