Shots fired in ‘high risk police incident’ in Chilliwack

Shots have been fired in a ‘high risk police incident’ in Chilliwack and police are warning area residents to shelter in place.

In a statement issued at 8:07 p.m. on Monday night, Chilliwack RCMP say they are at the scene on the 46000-block of Knight Road and are telling residents in the area of Knight Road near Melville, Queens and Downes Streets to shelter in place and stay away from external walls.

Police are also asking the public to not post photos of the movement of officers on social media.
