Where: Vancouver Playhouse, 600 Hamilton St., Vancouver

For Source Amnesia, Vancouver choreographer and MoveTheCompany founder Joshua Beamish draws on personal experience and research in a contemporary dance piece exploring memory and truth. The full-length work features five performers, including Renee Sigouin of Kidd Pivot, former Ballet B.C. dancers Juan Duarte and Evan Rapaport, Calder White, and Marisa Christogeorge. James Proudfoot contributes lighting design, and British electronic musician Rival Consoles provides the music. MoveTheCompany’s previous works include @giselle, a modern interpretation of the ballet Giselle. We talked to Beamish about the new production.
