Two arrested in murder of New Westminster man early Friday
Two people have been taken into custody in the murder of a 51-year-old man in New Westminster.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team said Ryan Crossley, 31, has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of 51-year-old Robert Powshuk early Friday.
Another person was also taken into custody and “homicide investigators are still determining that person’s involvement,” said IHIT spokesman Sgt. David Lee on Saturday.
Bleeding heavily, Powshuk walked into a coffee shop on Columbia Street around 6:30 a.m. Friday. He died after being taken to Royal Columbian Hospital. Police have not said whether he was shot or stabbed.
