Vancouver Weather: Cloudy, snow later
VANCOUVER, B.C.: Saturday, Feb. 25. Today’s weather is expected to start out cloudy, and then the snow should start to fall in the afternoon, with a high of 1 C, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada. The federal weather agency has posted a snowfall warning for Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, Howe Sound, Whistler, and Sea to Sky highway, with up to 35 centimetres expected in some areas.
Light snow will start this afternoon, according to the agency, and intensify to heavy snow this evening. Heavy snow is expected to ease early Sunday morning for most regions.
The agency warns that rapidly accumulating snow will make travel difficult and visibility could be low.
On Sunday, the weather is expected to be a mix of sun and cloud, with a slight chance of showers or hail and a high of 4 C. Then the week starts out with a chance of showers or snow on Monday, with a high of 3 C followed by a mix of sun and cloud on Tuesday, with the temperature warming up to 5 C. Then, it’s back to rain on Wednesday and Thursday, with highs of 5 C and 8 C, respectively.
