Canada is on track to get its first Porsche Experience Center (PEC), with plans for launch in Pickering, Ontario in 2024.

Porsche currently runs nine PECs worldwide; the only other two in North America are in Atlanta and Los Angeles, so there’s certainly plenty of prestige in Porsche having picked Pickering.

The 20-acre PEC, located just east of Toronto, will be housed in the exciting “Durham Live” development, which already boasts a casino; there are plans for a 300-plus-room luxury hotel, nearly half-a-million square feet of retail space, and a concert venue.

Unsurprisingly, the automaker plans to incorporate electric vehicle charging infrastructure into the PEC, to build on its existing Destination Charging program. The site build and design will focus on leaving an environmentally responsible footprint, with the aim to incorporate sustainable technologies.

“ Porsche is more than just a car. Porsche is a promise for a unique brand and product experience and since the first opening in Silverstone in 2008, our Porsche Experience Centres are the best way to get this promise,” says Detlev von Platen, Member of the Executive Board for Sales and Marketing at Porsche.
