Car folded in half in crash with semi, driver miraculously sees ‘minor injuries’
It’s hard to believe from these photos taken by a Washington State Patrol Trooper that the parties involved were mostly unharmed
In what can only be described as a miracle, a driver is heading home with minor injuries after surviving a collision with a semi-truck near Mount Vernon, Washington.
The crash forced the entire roadway to close at first; however, the Washington Department of Transportation (WSDOT) reopened southbound lanes shortly after 11:30 a.m. on November 16. The northbound lanes of Interstate 5 reopened shortly after 12:30 p.m., according to the Department.
The news comes at a time when efforts are underway to deal with heavy rain and strong winds that have hit western Washington over the last couple of days. Continued flooding and rain has caused damage to roadways and levees.
