Exploring Prince Edward Island in a 2022 Cadillac XT6
Author’s note: This visit to P.E.I. took place in the summer before Hurricane Fiona hit. As of early October 2022, several locations have sustained significant damage from the storm and are currently closed to visitors (including much of Prince Edward Island National Park), while others remain open and are welcoming tourists with open arms (such as the Inn at Bay Fortune). Please call ahead to ensure a destination is operating before attempting to visit. To donate to Hurricane Fiona relief, visit the Canadian Red Cross.
We went to P.E.I., along with our two bosom friends, with learning more about Anne’s origins as a cornerstone. But we soon discovered that the Island that’s home to Anne is also a great deal more. Some of this country’s greatest athletes, musicians, and history-makers have hailed from Canada’s smallest province—and that’s on top of the iconic ocean vistas and one of the country’s very best culinary experiences.
With two adults and two preteens on board, and packing that spanned from fancy theatre clothes to hiking and camping gear, this trip called for a vehicle that was up to the task. Answering the call: a 2022 Cadillac XT6.
