Amber Alert cancelled: Two missing B.C. children found safe, say RCMP
Surrey RCMP announced Saturday evening that the two missing B.C. children subject of an Amber Alert have been found and are safe.
Police say the children were found at about 7:20 p.m. and are now in the process of being reunited with family. No other details were released.
“We recognize that many have been following this investigation closely since the AMBER Alert was issued,” says, Surrey RCMP media relations officer, Corp. Vanessa Munn.
“We sincerely appreciate the assistance from the public, media, community and policing partners, who all played an important role in helping to safely locate the children.”
The Amber Alert was issued July 19 for the two siblings allegedly abducted by their mother who failed to return the children to their father — who has custody — on July 17 after a planned camping trip in the Kelowna area.
