B.C. man facing 32 charges is on the lam in the West Kootenay: Creston RCMP
A fugitive wanted on nearly three dozen charges is believed to be in B.C.’s West Kootenay and police there are anxious to track him down.
Chad Meszarosi, 38, is wanted for breaching a release order and is facing over 30 other charges including aggravated assault, firearms offences, uttering threats, driving while prohibited, escape from lawful custody, possessing weapons for a dangerous purpose, mischief, forcible confinement, break and enter, and theft.
Creston RCMP call the apprehension of Meszarosi a top priority. Investigators have gotten tips that he is frequenting southeastern B.C. communities including Salmo, Nelway, Fruitvale, Trail and Nelson.
“We have received information that he may be seeking out medical assistance,” said Staff Sgt. Brandon Buliziuk of Creston RCMP.
Anyone who spots him or knows where he might be is asked to call 911, Creston RCMP, 250-428-9313, or a local detachment right away. The public is warned not to approach him “as he is considered very dangerous,” said Buliziuk in a release.
