Body found on side of road in Nanaimo
Mounties in Nanaimo are investigating after a body was found on the side of a road early Friday.
At about 7 a.m., a person out for an early-morning walk found the body on the north side of Harewood Mines Road, according to RCMP. Officers cordoned off the area for the investigation and the coroner was called to the site.
Investigators say the person’s injuries are consistent with being hit by a motor vehicle.
Mounties are asking anyone who was in the area at the time, and may have dash cam video of the person, to call Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345, and quote file # 2023-3059.
