Five things to know about updated verified-traveller program at Vancouver International Airport
On Tuesday, the federal government rolled out a revamp of its verified-traveller program to help clear any clogged airports as the summer travel season kicks off.
Here are some things to know about the updated program:
Eligible passengers include the roughly 1.7 million Nexus members — pre-approved travellers who can cross the U.S.-Canada border more quickly — as well as military personnel, aviation workers and RCMP officers. Those eligible can access the lines without applying beforehand. The government is working on an additional program that would allow membership without belonging to Nexus.
