Here are the teams competing in the 2023 Honda Celebration of Light
The 2023 Honda Celebration of Light will feature fireworks displays by teams from Australia, Mexico and the Philippines.
The all-day celebrations include music, food, culture, family friendly activities and three pyrotechnic performances by competing teams on July 22, 26 and 29.
The longest-running offshore fireworks competition in the world returned in 2022 after a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19 restrictions, with a Canadian team taking home top honours, beating out competitors from Spain and Japan.
The 2023 Celebration of Light is hosted with support from all levels of government and returning sponsors Honda, Concord Pacific and Scotiabank.
“The City of Vancouver is proud to welcome the hundreds of thousands of Vancouverites, British Columbians, Canadians and those from around the world to celebrate and enjoy this one-of-a-kind event,” said Mayor Ken Sim.
