How to stretch your grocery budget as food prices soar

Maybe it’s time to look through those flyers stuffed into your mailbox instead of throwing them away unperused with the rest of the paper.

With grocery prices heading skyward, every little bit counts, says Shayan Ramazankhani, a financial planner with Vancity.

“It’s good to explore certain tools and benefits that grocery stores will offer,” Ramazankhani said. “It’s always really useful to actually compare grocery prices with other grocery stores offering the same goods. A lot of grocers offer a price-matching feature.

“It’s always worth your time to pick up a flyer from your local grocer.”

Ramazankhani also recommended a shopping feature his dad loves.
