Kentucky tree trimmer dies in tragic woodchipper accident outside of Christmas light show

A contractor in Kentucky doing tree work died in a horrible wood chipper accident near a Christmas light exhibit, police say.

The 46-year-old man was trimming trees at a home when he became tangled in a holiday light display and partially fell into a wood chipper, according to NYPost.

The man suffered serious injuries. Emergency crews arrived at the scene shortly after and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Authorities are still investigating the accident but found no foul play involved.

The tragic accident happened near the Owensboro Christmas Lights, a popular display containing a 20-foot snowman and 300,000 lights, according to the Facebook page.
