Man slashed in throat on Surrey bus in life-threatening condition
One man is in hospital clinging to life after he was slashed in the throat while on a bus in Surrey Saturday morning.
A fight broke out between two male passengers on board a bus travelling on Fraser Highway and 156th Street in Surrey, shortly after 9:30 a.m., according to Metro Vancouver Transit Police.
During the altercation, one of the men allegedly took out a knife and slashed the other man across the throat.
Transit police and members of the Surrey RCMP arrived and located the suspect. He was arrested and faces a charge of attempted murder.
The victim was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to police. So far, police say it appears to be a random attack, however a motive has not yet been determined.
