Swings at Vancouver playground vandalized

A senseless act of vandalism at a popular Vancouver playground has left residents upset and dismayed.

Sophie Kelk was out enjoying the snow at Kitsilano Beach park on Sunday with her husband and baby when they came across several swings that appeared to have their chains cut off with a bolt cutter.

One infant swing and two swings for bigger kids were fully broken, with the seats dangling loose.

“One of the infant swings still looked fine but looking closer, we could see the marks where someone had tried to cut it but hadn’t finished the job,” said Kelk.
