Vancouver police searching for man considered threat to public safety

The Vancouver Police Department has put out a call for help in locating a 56-year-old man considered a threat to public safety.

According to police spokesperson Tania Visintin, Steven Frederickson was last seen leaving his halfway house in Vancouver on April 19. Frederickson has a court-order in place mandating that he return to the facility each night.

Frederickson is 6’1″ with a slim build and is deaf. He has a long grey beard, long grey hair and usually wears sunglasses. When he left the halfway home Frederickson was wearing a navy blue Vancouver Canucks baseball cap, a black jacket and light blue jeans.

He has been released from prison and is considered to be violent and poses a risk to the public.

Frederickson is a long-term offender because he has been convicted of a crime on three occasions. He is now on a long-term supervision order.
