My grandson (who is in the Canadian Forces) will be going to Latvia in June. It’s next door to Russia, and I worry Putin has designs on this Baltic state. But not to worry, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is here to back up Latvia, and other NATO countries. He will fight bravely, as we expect any Canadian to do. Predictably, to European leaders, Trudeau shows up in designer suits, to would-be voters in rolled-up shirt sleeves, to India in Bollywood outfits, and to the grunts in Latvia with an open shirt. My grandson helped out in B.C. with the wildfires and the floods, and others (from the Canadian Forces) helped out in nursing homes during the pandemic. That was the right thing to do. But placing his trust and his life into the hands of Mr. Dressup, my gut tells me he is a fool.
(We thank your grandson for his service. And no matter who is in charge politically, our soldiers are some of the best trained in the world. They will know what to do)
WHY SO HAPPY?
