GET IT TOGETHER
It has been ages since I’ve submitted a missive to hold our elected officials’ feet to the fire over what could be construed as failings to the electorate. So, let’s hop back and see what has taken place in the interim. When last I opined, Trudeau was the prime minister with a minority government and involved in numerous scandals and conflict of interests, and … prorogued Parliament (which he said he wouldn’t do). What was on TV last: “The Lunar Landing, or Question Period on Parliament Hill?” Spend our tax dollars at a rate that will destroy the economy and therefore raises the rate of inflation. You well know I could go on … OK, let’s. A pandemic is the best time for the country to have a federal election — how cowardly. His calculated risk was a colossal bust, and we are at square one. But his billions of dollars in promises? You know he will bend to the NDP to continue his fiefdom. One word of advice? The Conservative Party is exhausting — get your act together. You have the popular vote, it’s just that you are acting like the biggest children on Parliament Hill. They are not above my criticism in this letter. This party has been a disaster since Harper and seem to delight at every opportunity to shoot themselves in the foot.
(To put it plainly, Canadians are not being represented well by anyone federally right now)
The tossing of the senator in the Conservative Party shows how a political party can get dumbed down, with backroom people calling the shots along with using obscure rules to suit the situation. And with a leader that really is very boring and will not be a viable leader due to his flip-floppy utterings out of the blue and backpedalling on all issues. Peter MacKay was the proper choice and would have ridden the wave to power in Canada. But alas, the people of the CPC had other ideas, putting this very boring person in as leader to run against the flamboyant Justin Trudeau. Any more attempts to have this leader try to claw his way out of the political hole now dug will only result in a waste of years and have the Canadian people in limbo while taxes rise and money is sent like a welfare system to countries all over the globe to buy imaginary credits for carbon when Canada is only 1.5 on the pollution scale. My way or the highway doesn’t cut it when the people of the country are in dire need of tax relief. Meanwhile, in 2022, the carbon tax will increase along with interest rates, food, all products, and heating fuel in the dark days of winter in Canada. Time for somebody to play the song, Hit the Road Jack.
(This is the ongoing issue with Conservatives. They are unable to get past their own issues to focus on taking on the Liberals. Meanwhile, Trudeau and his gang ruin our country)
