An estimated 700,000 enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes of Surrey’s Vaisakhi parade
Manrag Sara took in the sights and sounds of Surrey’s biggest festival Saturday afternoon from the vantage point of his father’s lap.
“Today, for us, represents so many things. Most of all — love,” Sara said while looking down at his smiling son.
“I am happy here,” said Manrag, his teeth were stained pink from the sugary floss of cotton candy.
The Surrey duo sat on the sidewalk of 84th Avenue, surrounded by thousands of others who walked the 128th Street route as part of Canada’s largest Vaisakhi parade, in Newton.
