Hepatitis-A exposure alert issued for a Vancouver McDonald’s
Health officials are warning people who ate at a McDonald’s fast-food outlet in Vancouver that they may have been exposed to hepatitis A.
Vancouver Coastal Health says patrons of McDonald’s at 3695 Lougheed Highway, near Boundary Road, might have been exposed to the virus during specific times over the last month:
• April 19 – 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• April 21 – 12 to 7:30 p.m.
• April 23 – 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• April 26 — 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• April 27 — 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• April 28 — 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• April 29 — 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• April 30 — 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• May 2 — 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• May 4 — 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• May 8 — 6 to 11 a.m.
• May 9 — 6 to 9 a.m.
Anyone who ate at the McDonald’s outlet during the listed times and dates is asked to monitor themselves for symptoms of hepatitis A, which include tiredness, lack of appetite, unexplained weight loss, pain on the right side of the abdomen, fever, sore muscles, jaundice, dark urine and clay-coloured stools.
