It has been two years since Trina Hunt was killed, and still no charge in the case

It has been two years of anguish for the family of a Port Moody woman, whose body was found in Hope a couple of months after she was reported missing.

On Jan. 18, 2021, Trina Hunt’s husband reported her as missing to the Port Moody police.

Police, family members, and residents of Port Moody searched for the 48-year-old woman, who police believed at the time had failed to return home from a walk in the neighbourhood.

Then, in March of that year, investigators found what they believed to be her body near Hope, south of Silver Creek.

A few days later, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team then confirmed the remains belonged to Hunt.
