Letters to the Sun: Column a powerful piece on the utter insanity of the ‘system’

Re: Douglas Todd: Would my dad have survived today’s mental-health system? Probably not

Thank you, Doug Todd. By far the most powerful piece I’ve ever read on the utter insanity of how the “system” has been failing some of our society’s most vulnerable people for decades and how the situation is clearly getting worse. I was gripped by a cold fury as I read on.

A useful complementary article would catalogue the parallel rise over time in the number of bureaucrats, health-care authorities, municipal and provincial staff supposedly working to improve matters, as well as their ever-increasing remuneration. We’re nowhere near getting value for our tax dollars here.
