Mounties seize large amount of fentanyl and other drugs in Surrey
Authorities in Surrey have seized a substantial amount of potentially deadly fentanyl and other drugs.
Surrey RCMP started an investigation into drug trafficking last year, which led to a business that police allege was being used as a front for drug trafficking.
Last month police searched the business located in the 5800-block of 176 Street. Four people were arrested for possession for the purposes of trafficking a controlled substance and later released pending further investigation, according to an RCMP news release Thursday.
Police located and seized the following:
Suspected fake Xanax — 2.1 kg (Estimate of 7,000 pills)
Suspected cocaine — 1.2 kg (12,000 doses)
Suspected heroin — 380 g (3,800 doses)
Suspected fentanyl — 800 g (8,000 doses)
Suspected meth — 5 kg (50,000 doses)
Suspected GHB — 400 g
Cash — $4,200
