One man arrested, another in hospital after stabbing outside Starbucks in downtown Vancouver
A man is in serious condition in hospital and another has been arrested after a brutal stabbing outside the Starbucks at Granville and Pender.
Mark, 37, said he stepped off a bus at the intersection just after 5:30 p.m. because of a large police presence in the area.
“As we’re walking down … we see this guy getting arrested. He had blood all over his shirt, the back of his shirt,” Mark said. “There was a guy doing CPR on (the victim), in the middle of the ground right in front of the Starbucks. He was in a big pool of blood. They tried doing CPR on him for at least 10 minutes.”
Images circulating online show the Starbucks roped off with a large police presence outside. A pool of blood can be seen in the entranceway and on the street.
Mark said witnesses told him it was a “big stabbing.”
