One man killed, one wounded in Surrey shooting Tuesday night

A man was killed and a second wounded Tuesday evening when shots rang out near 148th Street and 108th Avenue in Surrey.

The targeted attack is believed to be the latest in B.C.’s long-running gang conflict.

Cpl. Vanessa Munn said today that Surrey RCMP is working with the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team on the investigation.

“At approximately 8 p.m., Surrey RCMP received a report of a shooting in a parking lot located in the 14800-block of 108 Avenue. Upon attendance, police located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds,” Munn said.

“Both victims were transported to hospital, one has since succumbed to his injuries and the other sustained non-life-threatening injuries.”
