Pedestrian collision closes Surrey intersection

The intersection of 64 Avenue and 168 Street in Surrey is closed due to an early morning pedestrian collision.

According to the Surrey RCMP, police were called to that intersection at 1 a.m. on Feb. 19.

Police believe a Dodge van was being driven along 64 Avenue eastbound when it struck a male pedestrian in the intersection, resulting in critical injuries for the pedestrian.

The driver of the Dodge stayed at the scene.

The area will be closed for an unknown period of time, as the investigation progresses.
