Prince Harry gets uniform minus Queen’s initials
HEARTBROKEN HARRY: Prince Harry, who quit his royal duties in 2020, may have gotten to wear his military uniform for Saturday night’s tribute vigil by the eight grandchildren for Queen Elizabeth II — after getting special permission from King Charles III — but it was missing something.
The Sunday Times of London says the Blues and Royals No. 1 dress uniform Harry received from Buckingham Palace came without the late queen’s initials “ER,” while William’s had the royal cypher on both shoulder epaulets.
“He is heartbroken,” a friend told the Times. “To remove his grandmother’s initials feels very intentional.”
The same pal said he was so “devastated,” he almost wore a morning suit to avoid the “humiliation.”
Still, another source said an alternate outfit was never considered.
