Psychologist who assessed Hells Angel Larry Amero testifies at sentencing hearing
A forensic psychologist who assessed Hells Angel Larry Amero for his sentencing on two murder conspiracy convictions admitted in B.C. Supreme Court Thursday that he didn’t use several Crown documents in preparing his final report.
And Dylan Gatner also testified that while he received some of the documents Crown Damienne Darby showed him, there were others that were not provided to him by Amero’s lawyer Marc-Antoine Rock.
So far, Gatner has only told the court about his process in preparing the report, without being asked specifics about his conclusions on Amero’s risk assessment and mental health.
Last August, Amero, who’s part of the Wolfpack gang alliance, was convicted of conspiracy to murder rivals Sukhveer (Sukh) Dhak and Sandip (Dip) Duhre in 2012. Both were gunned down months apart that year.
Amero’s co-accused Rabih (Robby) Alkhalil was convicted of both conspiracy and first-degree murder in Duhre’s death. And he was found guilty of plotting to murder Dhak. But he escaped from jail last July and remains a fugitive.
